Step 1: Sign up for a Google My Business Account

Google My Business is a free service that allows your business details to appear in search results. Well, Google My Business is responsible for that and if you haven't set this up for your business you are limiting your business visibility.

A Google My Business profile is great for local SEO. After all, when people search for a product or service, they're usually look more likely to engage a business that is near them. So it's important the information about your business that shows up when people search Google is as accurate, complete, and optimised as possible.

A Google My Business account can also help you create a basic website and promote your business through advertising but we recommend using it purely to list your business details and use more effective options for the former.

Step 2: Register your site with Google Search Console

Google Search Console is a free service offered by Google that helps you monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot your site's presence in Google Search results. It is a way for website owners to let Google know what pages exist in their website so Google will index them.

By linking your website to Google Search Console you can also tell Google know when to re-index your website if significant changes have occurred. One of the most powerful features of Search Console is that is can detect search errors that could impact traffic to your website. These errors are sent to the registered admin email address and will often have solutions on how to correct the problems as they arise.
